View profileThe Living God Church (TLGC) is a registered charity (Charity No. 1148307) serving the Basingstoke community since 2009.
We are a diverse and growing congregation of approximately 100 members, many of whom live and work locally, including a significant number of healthcare professionals serving at North Hampshire Hospital.
TLGC is committed to advancing the Christian faith while delivering practical support that contributes to the community's social wellbeing. Alongside regular worship services, our work focuses on outreach, community engagement, and supporting individuals and families facing a range of social and economic challenges.
Our leadership includes experienced professionals engaged in community service, including chaplaincy, housing and welfare support, and community outreach. This enables us to combine pastoral care with practical, real-world support for those in need.
We are actively seeking a permanent base in Basingstoke to expand and sustain our work for the long-term benefit of the community.

We believe the Scripture of the Old and New Testaments (66 books) to be verbally inspired by God, inerrant in the original writings, and the supreme, absolute and final authority in faith and life. No other writings are similarly inspired. A
We believe in the one and only true God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the creator of all things, infinitely perfect. B
God the Father is perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, measureless in power. He is the head of all in heaven and earth, the supreme authority both in the Godhead and in the church. C
We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin (Mary), and is true God and true Man. D
We believe that the Lord Jesus died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood. D
We believe in the bodily resurrection of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven, and His present life there for us, as High Priest and Advocate. D
We believe that our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ will personally return and set up His Kingdom wherein He will rule and reign in righteousness. D
The Holy Spirit’s ministry is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ as His representative on earth and to teach us the truth of God’s Word by convicting of sin, righteousness, and judgment and illuminating God’s Word to the believer. He is the Person of the Godhead who imparts a new nature to those who believe in the atoning work of Christ and places them into Christ’s body, the Church. E
The Holy Spirit permanently indwells and seals all believers unto the day of redemption and fills and empowers them as each believer’s will is yielded to the Spirit. This empowerment is evidenced in righteous living. He gives to each believer a spiritual gift or gifts as He wills, for the purpose of building up the Church. F
We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned, and thereby incurred, not only physical death but also spiritual death; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature. G
We believe that all who repent of their sins and receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God. We believe that all believers have eternal life with God and, whilst in this life, should work out their salvation with reverential fear and trembling. H
The Church is composed of all people who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ. It began at Pentecost. All those who have thus believed are baptized by the Holy Spirit into one Body, the Church, of which Christ is the Head. The mission of the Church is, through local bodies of believers, to equip its members, the saints, to do the work of the ministry, and by this means to make known the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all people. I
We believe that Water Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances to be observed by the Church. They are, however, not to be regarded as means of salvation. J
